Overview

Vanguard Rise ("we", "us", or "our") is an Android alarm‑clock application developed by SoftMat (package ID: com.SoftMat.vanguard). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By installing or using Vanguard Rise you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and do not use it.

Data We Collect

How We Use Your Data

We process the data above for the following purposes only:

Authentication & Account Management

Your email is used to create and recover your account via Firebase Authentication.

App Analytics & Improvement

Device and usage data is sent to Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app and to improve features.

Crash Reporting

Firebase Crashlytics uses stack traces and device state to help us identify and fix bugs.

Advertising

The AdMob SDK uses your advertising identifier and usage signals to display relevant ads within the app.

Subscription Verification

Firebase Remote Config uses your Firebase Auth UID to verify subscription status without transmitting additional personal data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, solely for the purposes described above:

No other third parties, data brokers, or marketing platforms receive your data.

Camera & QR Scanning

Vanguard Rise requests the android.permission.CAMERA permission exclusively to support the "Create Alarm via QR" feature. The camera is activated only when you explicitly tap the QR scan button.

QR‑code frames are decoded locally on your device by the mobile_scanner Flutter plugin. No image data is ever stored, transmitted, or uploaded — the pixel data is discarded immediately after decoding.

You may revoke the Camera permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Vanguard Rise → Permissions. Revoking this permission disables only the QR‑scan feature; all other functionality remains unaffected.

Advertising & Subscriptions

The app displays ads through Google AdMob. By default, AdMob may serve personalised ads based on your Google Advertising ID (GAID) and inferred interests.

To opt out of personalised ads, go to Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation. You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interest profile.

Subscribing to the premium tier removes ads. Subscription status is stored locally and verified via Firebase Remote Config using only your Firebase Auth UID — no additional personal data is transmitted during this verification.

Security

HTTPS / TLS Everywhere

All network communication between the app and Firebase / AdMob is encrypted in transit using TLS.

Secure Token Storage

Firebase Authentication tokens are stored using Android's Keystore system, ensuring they are hardware‑backed and isolated from other apps.

No Plaintext Passwords

We never store passwords in any form. Authentication is handled entirely by Firebase, which uses industry‑standard hashing and salting.

While we implement strong safeguards, no digital system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

§ 09

Children's Privacy

Vanguard Rise is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at zeeshanakhtar.ffc@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights & Controls

Delete Account

Delete your account from within the app. This removes your Firebase Auth record and all associated data permanently.

Opt‑out of Personalised Ads

Go to Android Settings → Privacy → Ads to opt out of ad personalisation at any time.

Revoke Camera Permission

Go to Android Settings → Apps → Vanguard Rise → Permissions → Camera to disable camera access.

Reset Advertising ID

Go to Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset advertising ID to get a new GAID, severing previous ad‑profile history.

Access & Portability

Contact us to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction

You can update your profile name directly in the app settings at any time.
